Scholarship Application Guidelines

Scholarship awards are determined based on the information provided in the application and the availability of funds. For questions, please email education@dcpa.org.
- A new application is required for each session and scholarship awards are not transferable between sessions.
- Children/Teen Classes: Students may apply for up to two classes per session.
- Adult Classes: Students may apply for up to three classes per session. Note: For the extended adult fall session, up to four classes may be requested.
- When an application is received, the Registrar will hold a spot in the requested classes based on availability. Applicants will be notified if a class is sold out.
- If you are submitting a scholarship application, do not register online for the class separately.
Application & Award Timeline
- Applications are accepted until one week before the class start date.
- Please allow 1–2 weeks for processing.
- Applicants will be notified via email if they have received a scholarship.
- Upon notification, applicants must confirm acceptance within one week and arrange registration and payment.
- Full payment of the remaining balance is due before the first class.
- If payment is not received on time, the scholarship award may be forfeited.
- Scholarship recipients are expected to attend 100% of scheduled classes. Failure to do so may impact eligibility for future scholarships.
Cancellations & Refunds
- If a student cancels a class after receiving a scholarship and paying the balance, standard refund policies apply.

Please list the classes for which you are applying for scholarship assistance. Refer to the website or class brochure for descriptions, time and start dates of classes. Please note: All on site class instruction and supporting forms are in English. If you need Spanish language support during the class registration process, please email community@dcpa.org to set up a phone call with one of our staff.

Thank you for your application to the Daniel L. Richie Scholarship Fund. In recognition of his many years of service to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the Board of Trustees established a scholarship program to honor its former Chairman, CEO and Trustee, Daniel L. Ritchie. Pairing his commitment to the arts with his passion for education, this program will inspire students to explore, create, perform and be curious in the stories that unfold on stage, in classrooms and in their lives.
